Nothing officially launch its open beta for Nothing OS 3.0, based on Android 15. The Nothing Phone (2a) users can join the beta immediately, while the beta will be available for Nothing Phone (2) in November 2024.
In December 2024, the program will open for Nothing Phone (1), Nothing Phone (2a) Plus, and CMF Phone 1.

As Nothing OS 3.0 is built on Android 15, it naturally inherits many new features introduce by Google.
These include the ability to archive apps to free up space, adjust color contrast for improve accessibility, run basic device diagnostics, and set the Google Home Favorites page as the screen saver.
Also, Nothing OS 3.0 offers a dedicate shortcut to quickly access lock screen customization options, support for partial screen sharing during recording or casting, and native support for passkeys.
This update also brings many minor changes, including a “Current” card in the wallpaper picker that shows the user’s current wallpaper and opens the wallpaper editor upon tapping.
