How to Set Up a WhatsApp Message Reminder | Step-by-Step Guide

If someone sends you a message on WhatsApp and you are currently engage with some other work, the instant messaging service’s ‘Remind Me’ feature can be a useful way to keep track of messages.

WhatsApp roll out the new Remind Me feature to beta testers earlier 2025, and while it is still in testing, you will soon be able to set up reminders for the texts you have already read.

The WhatsApp displays a list of preset intervals for the same.

And, you can even set a custom time and date for the reminder, too, when the app pushes a notification to your handset.

How to Set Up a Message Reminder in WhatsApp?

Follow These Steps :

  1. Open WhatsApp.
  2. Long-press the Send button on the right side of the text message box.
  3. Then tap on the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of the screen.
  4. Click on the Remind Me button.
  5. WhatsApp will present a pop-up window with four preset timer options:
    In 2 hoursIn 8 hoursIn 24 hours, or Custom.
  6. Select one of the preset options or set a custom reminder.
  7. This is Optional, In case you wish to set a custom reminder.
  8. Tap on Custom.
  9. Select date and time for the reminder.
